Seriously?! More Vulnerabilities?
Right, listen up. Apparently, some clowns over at Microsoft are still shipping shit with holes in it. This time it’s a whole heap of vulnerabilities – we’re talking about everything from Remote Code Execution (RCE) to Elevation of Privilege (EoP). Like, *really*? You’d think they’d have figured out basic security by now, but noooo. They just keep churning out buggy crap and leaving us to clean up their mess.
There’s a bunch of stuff in there affecting various Windows versions, so basically if you’re running anything Microsoft-made, patch it. Now. Don’t be one of those people who cries when your system gets pwned because you were too lazy to update. And yes, some of these are actively being exploited, meaning the script kiddies and actual bad guys are *already* having a field day.
Oh, and there’s also some stuff about Apple products getting attention, but honestly? Who cares. They’re just slightly less terrible than Microsoft. Don’t quote me on that.
The diary entry covers details for CVEs, so go read it if you *absolutely* have to know the specifics. I’m not holding your hand. Just patch your systems before they get compromised and don’t come crying to me when things go south. Seriously, do I look like a free security consultant?
TL;DR: Microsoft is still bad at security. Patch everything. Now. Or suffer.
Related anecdote? Fine. Back in ’08, had to spend 72 hours straight fixing a zero-day exploit on a Windows server because some idiot clicked a link in an email. Seventy-two *hours*. I swear, I aged ten years that week and developed a permanent twitch. So yeah, patch your damn systems.
