GITEX GLOBAL 2025: A Summary (Because I *Have* To)
Right. So apparently a bunch of tech bros are gathering in Dubai again next year for GITEX GLOBAL 2025. It’s, like, the biggest tech show in the Middle East and Africa – because everything’s bigger there, aren’t they? Expect a whole lot of AI hype (surprise!), cloud nonsense, cybersecurity theatre, and startups desperately trying to get funding from oil money.
This year they’re focusing on “AI in Everything,” which is just… groundbreaking. Seriously. Like we haven’t heard *that* before. They’ll have zones for everything – AI, Cloud Computing, Fintech, Smart Cities (more surveillance, yay!), and a bunch of other buzzword-laden areas. There will be ‘expert’ talks, demos that probably won’t work as advertised, and networking events where people hand out business cards like they’re going out of style.
They’re also trying to attract investors – because let’s face it, that’s what this is all about. And apparently there will be a ‘Global Startup Movement’, which means a lot of hopefuls getting crushed by the weight of reality. Oh and they are going on about how important sustainability is… as if throwing a massive tech show in the desert is somehow eco-friendly.
Basically, it’s a colossal waste of time and resources disguised as innovation. But hey, someone’s gotta spend money, right? Don’t ask me why I had to summarize this drivel.

Related Anecdote (Because You People Need Context)
I once had to monitor a server farm for a company that was *obsessed* with “smart city” tech. They were bragging about how efficient their system was, while the entire thing was held together by duct tape and prayers. A single power blip took down half the city’s traffic lights. Efficiency, my ass. This GITEX show is probably full of similar garbage.
