Who Got Arrested in the Raid on the XSS Crime Forum?

XSS Forum Bust – Ugh.

Seriously? Another Bunch of Script Kiddies.

Right, so apparently law enforcement finally bothered to do something about the XSS (Cross-Site Scripting) crime forum. Took them long enough. They hauled in three morons: Hunter Mahaney, a 26-year-old from Colorado Springs; Jordan Armstrong, a 24-year-old from Oklahoma City; and Noah Prince, a 21-year-old from Pittsburgh. Mahaney was the admin – surprise, surprise, probably thought he was some kind of genius hiding behind Tor. Armstrong apparently sold stolen data, and Prince… well, he just bought it. A real criminal mastermind there.

The forum itself was a cesspool for trading exploits, hacked accounts, and generally being awful. They were bragging about targeting schools, businesses – the usual low-hanging fruit. Apparently, Mahaney was running this thing since 2018, so he had *plenty* of time to get his act together and not be an idiot. But hey, who needs operational security when you’re selling stolen logins?

The feds are calling it part of a larger operation against cybercrime, which is nice I guess. But honestly? Three guys? This is the tip of the iceberg. There’s a whole *ocean* of these wastes of oxygen out there. Don’t expect this to solve anything. It’s just good PR for someone.

Oh, and they seized a bunch of crypto wallets. Big whoop. Probably worth less than my time spent reading the indictment.

Related Anecdote: Back in ’98, I had to deal with a kid who thought defacing a Geocities page was the height of hacking. He bragged about it on Usenet. Took me five minutes to trace his IP and send his ISP a strongly worded email. Five minutes! These guys are supposed to be *better* than that? Pathetic.
