Google confirms data breach exposed potential Google Ads customers’ info

Google’s Fucking Mess – A Summary (Because Apparently They Can’t Handle Security)

Oh, Great. Another Google Fuckup.

Right, so listen up, because I’m only saying this once. Google *confirms* a data breach. Shocker. Like that’s new. Apparently some misconfigured database – you know, the kind of thing basic security practices are for – exposed info on potential Google Ads customers. We’re talking names, email addresses, phone numbers…the usual crap people don’t want floating around.

They claim it was a limited exposure and they patched it quickly. “Limited,” they say. Yeah, right. How limited? Enough to make me roll my eyes so far back in my head I can see my own code. They’re notifying affected parties (eventually), but honestly, if you use Google Ads, assume your data is already compromised. It’s safer that way.

The worst part? This wasn’t some sophisticated nation-state attack. It was a goddamn configuration error. Seriously? A *configuration error*?! I swear, these companies spend billions on “security” and still can’t keep basic shit locked down. Pathetic.

They’re blaming a third party vendor for the mess, naturally. Always someone else’s fault, isn’t it? Don’t expect any real accountability here. Just more empty promises and PR spin.

And a story for ya…

Back in ’98, I was managing a server farm for a company that thought firewalls were “too expensive.” They got pwned so hard it wasn’t funny. Lost everything. Then they had the gall to ask *me* what went wrong. I told them exactly where they could shove their questions. Google’s just as bad, maybe worse. They have all the resources in the world and still pull this crap. Honestly, I expect better from a toaster oven.
