Seriously? Zoom *and* Xerox?!
Right, listen up you lot. Apparently, some “security researchers” (read: people who get paid to find what idiots left open) dug up a couple of critical vulnerabilities in Zoom and Xerox products. Shocking. Absolutely fucking shocking. Like, we’re surprised that software from these companies has holes? Get real.
Zoom’s issue is a privilege escalation thing – meaning some low-level user could potentially become an admin. Fantastic. Just what everyone needs: more people messing with your meetings. And Xerox? Oh joy, Remote Code Execution (RCE). That’s right, someone could remotely take control of your printer/scanner/whatever the hell else they make. Because who *doesn’t* want a hostile takeover of their office equipment?
Both companies have released updates – surprise, surprise. You better install them. Now. Don’t come crying to me when your Zoom account is compromised and your Xerox machine starts printing out ransom notes. I swear, if you get pwned because you ignored a critical patch, I’m blaming *you*.
Seriously, keep your shit updated. It’s not rocket science.

I once had to deal with a company whose printers were so badly infected they started printing out motivational quotes… in Wingdings. Wingdings! The IT guy swore it was “a feature.” I nearly quit on the spot. Don’t be that company. Just patch your damn software.
