Seriously? More Bullshit From Google
Right, so listen up, because I’m only saying this once. Google – yeah, that Google – has decided to be all high and mighty and is now demanding crypto app developers jump through a whole load of bureaucratic hoops if they want their apps on the Play Store in fifteen different regions. Fifteen! Like we don’t have enough problems.
Basically, they want licenses proving these apps aren’t scams. Fantastic. As if scammers give a damn about *licenses*. It’s like putting up a “Beware of Pickpockets” sign in front of a den of thieves – it doesn’t stop the thieving, does it? The FBI is already whining about $9.9 million lost to crypto scams this year alone, and Google thinks this will fix things? Give me a break.
They’re targeting apps dealing with virtual currencies, NFTs, or anything remotely blockchain-related. Expect more paperwork, more delays, and generally more headaches for anyone trying to do legitimate business. And you can bet your bottom dollar this is going to disproportionately screw over smaller developers who don’t have the resources to fight all this crap.
Oh, and if you *don’t* comply? Your app gets yanked. Surprise, surprise. It’s all about control, isn’t it? They want a piece of the pie, or they’ll just crush everything else. Don’t even get me started on how this will impact user choice.
Honestly, I’m starting to think Google should just shut down the Play Store entirely and save everyone the trouble. It would probably be less annoying.

Speaking of scams, I once had to deal with a user who thought they could “optimize” their server by running a script downloaded from a Geocities website circa 1998. It was a rootkit. A *rootkit*. I swear, some people are just asking for trouble. And then they blame *me* when everything goes to hell? The audacity.
