Perplexity now supports live earnings call transcripts for Indian stocks

Perplexity’s Latest Stunt

Oh, Joy. Another “Innovation.”

Right, so Perplexity, that glorified search engine with a chatbot slapped on it, has decided to let you read transcripts of *live* earnings calls for Indian stocks. Fantastic. As if the world needed another way to obsess over quarterly numbers and listen to CEOs bullshit about “synergies” and “market headwinds.”

Apparently, they’ve partnered with some outfit called AlphaSense (never heard of ’em, probably for good reason) to pull this off. They’re touting faster access than the official releases – like that’s a groundbreaking achievement. Seriously? Getting info *slightly* quicker isn’t revolutionizing anything; it’s just…faster. And only for Indian stocks, because why bother with everything else, right?

They also added some AI summarization features to make digesting the corporate drivel easier. Because apparently people can’t be bothered to read a simple transcript themselves. Pathetic. It’ll probably hallucinate half of it anyway.

Look, it’s fine. Whatever. More tools for finance bros to lose money faster. Don’t come crying to *me* when your AI-generated insights lead you straight into bankruptcy.

And Another Thing…

Reminds me of the time some idiot VP insisted we build a real-time stock ticker integrated into the office coffee machine. “Synergy,” he called it. It broke down after three days, spewing out random numbers and causing mass caffeine withdrawal. Honestly, people just wanted coffee. Just like they probably just want accurate financial reports, not this AI fluff.
