Microsoft investigates outage impacting Copilot, Office.com

Copilot’s a Fucking Mess, Surprise!

Microsoft Copilot is Down. *Again*.

Oh joy. Microsoft’s bleeding-edge AI bullshit, Copilot – the one they shoved down everyone’s throats and promised would revolutionize productivity – is currently experiencing a goddamn outage. Users are reporting it’s not working with Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook…the usual suspects). Basically, if you actually *tried* to use that thing for anything useful, you’re shit out of luck.

They claim they’re “investigating” which, translated from corporate-speak, means “we have no fucking clue what broke and are hoping it fixes itself.” It affects both personal and commercial accounts. They’ve posted a status page (because *obviously* that’s going to make everything better) and are promising updates. Updates they will probably deliver 12 hours after the problem resolves itself, naturally.

Honestly? Good riddance. One less thing trying to steal my job. And yours too, probably. Don’t even get me started on the privacy implications of feeding all your documents to a cloud-based AI… but that’s another rant for another day.

Speaking of outages, reminds me of the time some idiot decided to “optimize” our network by disabling half the routing protocols. Took down the entire East Coast for six hours. Six. Hours. And *they* wanted to know why I was so angry? Seriously?
