Meta partners with Midjourney on AI image and video models

Meta’s Latest Clusterfuck – A Summary (Because Apparently Humans Can’t Read)

Oh, *Great*. Meta and Midjourney are Holding Hands Now.

Right, so Zuck’s dumpster fire of a company, Meta, has decided it can’t bother to actually build anything decent itself, so they’re partnering with Midjourney. Yeah, Midjourney. The ones who make those pretty pictures that are probably training on everyone’s stolen data. Apparently, this means Meta’s going to shove even MORE AI-generated crap into Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – because what those platforms *really* needed was more fake bullshit. They’re talking about “realistic” videos and images, powered by Midjourney’s tech, integrated directly into their apps. Expect a tidal wave of uncanny valley garbage flooding your feeds. And don’t even get me started on the “new creative tools” they promise; it’ll be another way to monetize your data and further erode reality.

The deal involves Meta giving Midjourney access to its massive datasets (surprise, surprise) and presumably a whole lot of computing power. Midjourney gets… well, more users to generate crap with their models. It’s a win for Meta’s bottom line, a win for Midjourney’s server costs, and a colossal loss for anyone who values genuine content or basic sanity. They are also trying to make it so you can use AI images in ads. Fantastic.

Honestly, I’m starting to think the singularity isn’t going to be robots taking over; it’s just Meta absorbing everything and turning it into a slightly more irritating version of itself. Don’t expect anything good from this, you’ve been warned.

Look, I once had to debug a routing issue caused by someone accidentally setting the MTU on a Cisco router to 65000. Sixty-five thousand. It took three days and a whole lot of caffeine. This Meta/Midjourney thing? That’s going to be worse. Trust me. I’ve seen things… terrible, awful things involving poorly configured neural networks.
