Like, groundbreaking stuff. It’s not like every other robot ever hasn’t done something similar after enough training data is shoved down its digital throat.

They’re using imitation learning, which means they show it videos of humans doing things and hope it copies. Revolutionary? No. Tedious and requiring a metric fuckton of processing power? Absolutely. And the article glosses over all the failures, naturally. It’s always “showing promise” and never actually *doing* anything useful without constant supervision.
