Oh, For F\*ck’s Sake… Sitecore is Broken. Again.
Right, listen up you lot. CISA – those clowns over at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency – have issued an emergency directive because of a critical vulnerability in Sitecore. Yeah, *Sitecore*. Like we don’t have enough sh\*t to deal with.
Apparently, some unpatched versions (9.0 through 10.2) are getting actively exploited. Meaning someone’s already poking holes in systems because people can’t be bothered to update their software. It allows for remote code execution – which basically means anyone could take over your server. Fantastic.
They’re saying it’s a big deal, and you need to patch NOW if you’re running the affected versions. Like, yesterday. Don’t wait, don’t “assess risk”, just PATCH IT! The deadline is October 9th, so get your act together.
Honestly, I’m starting to think some of these vendors *intentionally* ship with vulnerabilities just to keep us busy. It’s a conspiracy, I tell you! A conspiracy!

Related Anecdote: Back in ’98, I had a user who refused to update their Windows 3.1 machine because “it worked fine.” Three days later, they got hit with Melissa and wiped out the entire department’s file server. I swear, sometimes I think humanity is actively trying to destroy itself. And then they *blame us* when things go wrong.
