Seriously? More Bullshit About Being Secure

Right, so some ‘experts’ are flapping their gums about how we’re all doomed thanks to quantum computing and then pathetically trying to reassure us AI can fix it. Fantastic. Just *brilliant*. The article basically says that once quantum computers get good enough (and they WILL, you naive fools), current encryption is toast. Like, completely useless.

Then, because everything has to be a problem and then a ‘solution’ sold to idiots with money, it goes on about how AI – AI! – is the answer. Machine learning models detecting anomalies, predicting attacks, blah, blah, blah. It’s all just layers of complexity built on top of other complexity hoping something sticks. It mentions things like Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) which is expensive and fiddly as hell, and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms that are probably already broken by some teenager in a basement somewhere.

They talk about using AI to build better intrusion detection systems, threat intelligence platforms, and automated response tools. Oh, and of course, “adaptive security architectures.” Because buzzwords solve everything, right? It’s all just shifting the goalposts and creating more work for people like me to clean up when it inevitably fails.

The whole thing is a thinly veiled sales pitch for throwing money at vendors promising salvation. Don’t fall for it. Prepare for the inevitable chaos. You’ve been warned.

Honestly, I’m starting to think the best defense is just unplugging everything and living in a cave. It’s less stressful.

It flagged *everything* as suspicious, including legitimate user activity and even scheduled backups. Turned out someone trained it on a dataset of only successful attacks. So naturally, anything that wasn’t an attack was considered anomalous. Idiots. Absolute idiots.
