Seriously? Nvidia and Intel Are “Working Together” Now. Fantastic.
Oh joy. As if the semiconductor world wasn’t already a clusterfuck of proprietary bullshit, Nvidia and Intel have decided to hold hands and play nice. Apparently, they’re gonna try and make chips… *together*. Intel will build some stuff using their goddamn foundry services (because why bother doing it themselves properly?), and Nvidia will… well, Nvidia will probably just take all the credit when things go right and blame Intel when they inevitably don’t.
The whole thing revolves around AI, naturally. Because everything is about AI now, even if 90% of it’s pointless garbage. They’re talking about integrating Nvidia GPUs with Intel CPUs for data centers and… surprise! …cars. Because self-driving cars *definitely* need more complexity. It’s all very “synergy” and “innovation,” which translates to “we both want more money.”
And of course, there’s a whole load of vague promises about open standards (yeah right) and making things easier for developers. Don’t fall for it. It’s just marketing fluff designed to distract you from the fact that they’re locking you into their ecosystems even harder. They are also trying to compete with AMD, because apparently two giants aren’t enough.
Honestly, I expect this will end in tears and a bunch of finger-pointing. Don’t hold your breath for anything actually useful coming out of this mess. Just more silicon, more power consumption, and more reasons to hate the tech industry.

Related Anecdote (Because You Asked For It)
Reminds me of the time two network engineers tried to “collaborate” on a routing protocol change during a production window. Let’s just say it involved a lot of screaming, a complete network outage, and a very angry manager. Partnerships are rarely as smooth as people think. Usually they involve someone being profoundly incompetent.
