Right, so some “experts” finally noticed that shoving generative AI into everything isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Shocking, I know. Apparently, letting Large Language Models (LLMs) loose on your systems creates a whole heap of new attack vectors. Who could have *possibly* foreseen this?
Basically, the article whines about how these things are vulnerable to prompt injection – meaning some clever bastard can make them do whatever they want, including leaking data or running malicious code. Data poisoning is another gem; feed it bad info and watch your AI spew garbage (or worse, actively *help* attackers). And don’t even get me started on supply chain risks – trusting third-party models? You’re asking for trouble, seriously.
They also mention intellectual property theft – because of course they do. You think your precious data is safe when you upload it to some cloud service run by people who probably don’t care? Think again. And the biggest problem? Lack of visibility. You have *no idea* what these things are actually doing under the hood, so good luck detecting anything malicious.
The “solution” they offer is…more monitoring and security frameworks. Fantastic. Because that always works perfectly, doesn’t it? Honestly, people just love to create problems for me to fix later. It’s a never-ending cycle of stupidity.

Anecdote: I once had to clean up a mess where someone used an AI chatbot to “help” write phishing emails. It was so *bad* it almost worked, and the user was genuinely surprised when their account got compromised. Surprise! Maybe if you didn’t rely on a glorified autocomplete for security advice… Just saying.
