Apparently, the problem is figuring out if these glorified chatbots actually do anything useful and deserve payment. Like anyone couldn’t see that coming. They’re building a platform to track “outcomes” – because apparently just looking at the invoice isn’t enough? It’s all about “autonomous agents” doing sales, marketing, customer support…the usual hype.

They already have some early customers (because of course they do, Medina knows how to *sell*), and are claiming impressive numbers. But let’s be real: it’s probably a bunch of carefully selected case studies designed to fleece VCs. They want to expand the types of “outcomes” tracked, build more integrations, and generally become the “operating system for AI agents.” Oh joy.

The whole thing reeks of over-engineering a problem that doesn’t need solving. Just… pay people when they deliver value. It’s not rocket science. But hey, I guess if you can slap “AI” on it, you can get away with anything these days. This is just another example of the tech industry throwing money at solutions looking for problems.

Don’t even *ask* me about the potential for gaming the system. I’m already picturing a thousand ways to make an AI agent look busy while accomplishing absolutely nothing.
