Microsoft Intune September 2025 update: Intel vPro integration, PowerShell app scripts, iOS/macOS 26 support, and Copilot enhancements

Intune Update? Oh Joy.

Microsoft Intune: September 2025 Update – Because Apparently We Need More Features

Right, so Microsoft’s decided to inflict *another* update on us poor bastards managing Intune. Apparently, they think we weren’t busy enough already. This one, slated for September 2025 (because why roll things out now? Patience is a virtue they clearly don’t possess), is chock-full of “improvements” nobody asked for.

Here’s the gist, if you can stomach it:

  • Intel vPro Integration: They’re letting Intune mess with Intel vPro. Fantastic. More remote management capabilities… which means more things to break when a firmware update goes south. Expect support calls. Lots of them.
  • PowerShell App Scripts: You can now deploy PowerShell scripts as apps. Because, you know, using proper packaging tools is *way* too sensible. Prepare for security nightmares and debugging headaches.
  • iOS/macOS 26 Support: They’ll support whatever the latest Apple crapware is called in 2025. Groundbreaking. Seriously, they have to do this eventually. Don’t expect it to be smooth.
  • Copilot Enhancements: Copilot gets more Intune powers. Which means a chatbot will now try to manage your infrastructure. I give it six months before it accidentally wipes out half your devices.
  • Admin Center Updates: More clicks, more menus, less efficiency. Standard Microsoft fare.

Oh, and there’s some other fluff about reporting and security baselines. Honestly, who cares? It’s all just more complexity to deal with.

Seriously, this is just a bigger pile of things that *could* go wrong. I swear, sometimes I think Microsoft designs these updates specifically to create job security for people like me… fixing their messes.

Speaking of messes, reminds me of the time some genius decided to “simplify” our environment by migrating everything to a single Intune tenant without proper testing. Three days later, half the company couldn’t connect to email and I was living on caffeine and regret. Don’t be that genius.
