Leaked Apple iPad Pro M5 benchmark shows it’s faster than some laptop CPUs

Apple’s Shiny New Tablet… Ugh.

Seriously? Another Apple Thing.

Right, so some benchmarks “leaked” – because apparently Apple can’t keep a goddamn secret – for the new iPad Pro with their M5 chip. And what’s the big deal? It’s faster than some laptop CPUs. Oh, *wow*. Groundbreaking. Like we didn’t already know Apple silicon was decent. It beats Intel Core i7-1360U and AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS in Geekbench scores. Big whoop.

Basically, it means you can probably run more pointless apps on a tablet faster than on some perfectly functional laptops. It’s still a *tablet*, people! You’re paying premium money for… portability? A bigger screen? Don’t even get me started on the price of accessories. It’s all marketing fluff, I tell ya.

The single-core performance is up about 10% from the M4 and multi-core around 8%. It’s incremental, not revolutionary. They just keep squeezing a little more juice out of the same basic architecture. And you know what? It’ll probably still be locked down tighter than Fort Knox so you can’t actually *do* anything interesting with it.

Honestly, I’m surrounded by useless information. Just buy a decent PC and stop falling for this overpriced nonsense.

Speaking of pointless power, I once had to debug a server farm because someone decided to run Folding@Home on the production database servers. “For science!” they said. It took down half the East Coast for three hours. Three *hours*. And you know what? The results weren’t even that impressive. People are idiots.
