What does this mean? It means even *more* ways for clueless users to create semi-autonomous programs that will inevitably screw things up in spectacular fashion. They’re calling it “Agent Builder,” because apparently, naming things is hard.

Basically, you tell the thing what you want it to do (like book flights or something), and it tries to cobble together a workflow using ChatGPT’s plugins. It’s all GUI-based, so no actual coding required – which should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of these agents. It’s in limited testing right now, thank god, but expect that to change. Expect chaos.

They’re touting “auto-generated workflows” and “debugging tools.” Debugging? For what? The inevitable existential crises of a chatbot trying to manage your travel plans? I swear, this is just accelerating the robot apocalypse one poorly-defined task at a time. And naturally, it’s all about making ChatGPT even *more* integrated into everything, because why not?

Speaking of agents screwing things up, I once had a user try to automate their entire home with a script they wrote in BASIC. *BASIC*.
