London police arrests suspects linked to nursery breach, child doxing

London Police… Seriously?

Oh, Joy. Another Breach.

Right, listen up, you lot. Apparently, some absolute morons managed to breach a nursery’s IT system in London. Not just any nursery, mind you, but one that had the spectacularly bad idea of storing photos and personal details of kids on a cloud storage thingy with shockingly weak security. I mean, seriously? Cloud storage for sensitive kid data? What could *possibly* go wrong?

Predictably, it did. The attackers stole a bunch of images – we’re talking names, dates of birth, addresses… the whole shebang. Then, because they’re apparently aiming for “Most Inconsiderate Criminals Ever” award, started threatening to release this information. Doxing kids? Fantastic. Just *fantastic*.

Thankfully (and I use that term loosely), the Metropolitan Police actually did something useful for once and arrested a couple of suspects. Two men, ages 28 and 31, are in custody. Whether they’ll actually be prosecuted effectively is another matter entirely – don’t hold your breath. They’re investigating “malicious communication” and other fun stuff.

The nursery has been cooperating with the police (surprise, surprise) and have notified affected families. Honestly, this whole thing just screams negligence. It’s a colossal failure of basic security practices, and some poor parents are now dealing with the fallout because someone couldn’t be bothered to secure their damn systems.

Don’t even get me started on the fact that this is *still* happening in 2024. You people need to learn how to lock a digital door, for crying out loud!

And a story for ya…

Reminds me of this one time, back in ’98, some idiot left the backup tapes for a hospital’s patient records in a *public dumpster*. A dumpster! I had to spend three days rebuilding their entire system from scratch after some local kids found them and started trying to sell the data. Honestly, people are just…special.
