Right. So, apparently Mark “I Ruined Everything” Zuckerberg has decided the Metaverse wasn’t a colossal waste of money enough. Now he’s throwing billions at AI – specifically, LLMs and trying to build his own goddamn operating system. Because why bother fixing the problems with reality when you can create another one that’ll inevitably be worse?

The whole thing is a desperate attempt to pivot away from TikTok eating his lunch and to make Meta relevant again. He wants AI assistants *everywhere* in this digital hellscape he’s building, integrated into everything, because apparently forcing people to wear VR headsets wasn’t enough social engineering. They are talking about “code avatars” and making the metaverse a place where you can build things with AI… like we don’t have enough pointless crap already.

He’s also obsessed with open-source, which is hilarious coming from the guy who built a data-harvesting empire. It’s all about controlling the infrastructure, naturally. He wants to be the king of *this* particular digital mountain, even if that mountain is made of buggy code and broken promises. And don’t forget the “generative AI” bullshit – more ways to flood the internet with garbage content.
