Oh, *Great*. Microsoft is at it Again.

Right, so listen up, you lot. Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom – and by that I mean staggering incompetence – are ripping the guts out of Windows 11 to shove AI where it absolutely doesn’t need to be. They’re calling it “Copilot” (original name, right?) and basically want to make your operating system a constant, nagging assistant. Think Clippy, but less charming and more likely to actively screw up your workflow.

The whole thing is being rebuilt around this AI “platform,” meaning core components are getting rewritten. They’re talking about everything from suggesting settings changes (because apparently you’re incapable of doing that yourself) to summarizing documents (as if *that* hasn’t been done a million times better already). They even want it integrated into the file explorer, because god forbid you actually *look* at your files.

It’s all cloud-connected, naturally. Because everything has to be about data collection these days. Expect more telemetry, more bullshit subscriptions, and more reasons for things to break when their servers inevitably have a meltdown. They’re even trying to make it work offline… eventually. Like that’ll actually happen reliably.

Honestly? It’s a mess. A predictable, infuriating mess. They’re chasing the shiny object instead of fixing the actual problems with Windows. But hey, who needs stability when you can have *AI*?

Speaking of things breaking, I once had to debug a system where someone decided to “improve” the network stack with a custom AI module that was supposed to predict packet loss. It didn’t predict anything except for complete and utter failure. Spent three days tracing it back to a single, poorly-written Python script. Three days. Don’t even get me started on the coffee I wasted. Just… don’t do this shit.
