Sora’s New Update: Now Your Cat Can Be a Goddamn Movie Star

Right, so apparently the nerds at OpenAI or wherever the hell Sora slithered out from have decided that your pets aren’t famous enough already. Enter the latest clusterfuck of features — “AI-generated pet videos.” Yeah, because what the world *really* needed was fifty million more fake videos of cats doing shit they never did. Bravo, humanity. We’ve truly peaked.

So, the shiny new Sora update will apparently let you take those grainy phone clips of Fluffy scratching his arse and turn them into cinematic wonders using their “magical generative video engine.” And since that’s not cringey enough, they’re also tossing in new social features so you can spam your mutant AI pet videos to an even wider audience of poor souls who didn’t ask for it.

Oh, and Android users — rejoice! You lot don’t get left out this time. They’re working on an Android version “soon.” Translation: sometime before the heat death of the universe.

So, what we’ve got here is another overhyped “game-changer” dressed up as an excuse to waste cloud compute and human attention spans. Hilarious, depressing, and deeply on-brand for 2025.
