Hackers Are Ransacking Your Crappy Outdated WordPress Plugins (Because Of Course They Are)
Well, what a bloody shocker — hackers are hammering the living shit out of outdated WordPress plugins again. Who could’ve possibly predicted that leaving dusty, unpatched code holes wide open on your website would attract a swarm of cyber-roaches? Apparently no one, because thousands of sites are currently being pummelled by mass exploitation campaigns targeting plugins that should’ve been buried years ago.
The digital cockroaches behind this mess are aiming for ancient plugins like tagDiv Composer, WP Automatic, and Bricks Builder — basically, anything rotting long enough to be riddled with more holes than Swiss cheese. Attackers are shoving malicious scripts straight into your sites to either snatch admin accounts, inject malware, or spin up spam factories faster than your average influencer pumps out AI “content.”
These magnificent twits out there still think “I’ll patch later” is an acceptable cybersecurity plan. And then boom — site gone, data gone, web host weeping, and me sitting here screaming into the digital abyss about basic goddamn updates. The security folks are telling everyone to, get this, update your plugins. Earth-shattering revelation, right? But nah, some muppet will still think version 1.0.8 from 2016 is totally fine because “it still works.” Yeah, and so did asbestos insulation for a while, genius.
So here’s the TL;DR, folks: patch your damn websites, delete that plugin graveyard you’ve been hoarding, and stop crying when your homepage starts redirecting to malware empire dot com. Hackers are gonna hack, and you’re basically inviting them in with a neon sign that says “Free root access!”

Last time I saw someone ignore a security update, their site got turned into a bitcoin-mining operation for some “Eastern European Tech Entrepreneur.” Server fans were screaming louder than a TikTok comment section. But hey — it’s just a plugin, right?
