ThreatsDay Bulletin: The World’s on Fire and the Malware’s Got an Upgrade
Right, strap in folks, because apparently the universe decided we weren’t suffering enough. The latest ThreatsDay Bulletin from The Hacker News is basically a laundry list of digital disasters, each one messier than the last. Top of the pile? AI-powered malware that’s clever enough to ruin your week before you’ve even finished your overpriced coffee. The bastards have managed to train their evil little code-goblins to sidestep detection tools, mimic legit apps, and probably steal your lunch money while they’re at it.
Then, just when you think you can trust your AI voice assistant to order more toilet rolls, we find out there are voice bot vulnerabilities so wide you could drive a truckload of ransomware through. So much for “smart” devices. It’s more like “dumb but loud.”
Naturally, the cybercrime crowd isn’t sitting out either — crypto laundering is still booming because some genius thought untraceable digital money was a terrific idea. Meanwhile, the IoT crowd keeps connecting everything short of their bloody toothbrushes to the internet, and guess what? They’re getting hacked too. Shocking. Who could have possibly seen that coming? Oh right — everyone with half a functioning brain cell.
There’s more, of course. Phishers phishing, scammers scamming, and some security vendors pretending they’ve got “AI-powered defenses” that totally work just as well as the invisible unicorns they’re selling you. In other words — business as usual in the digital apocalypse.

Reminds me of the time some bright manager asked me if our servers could be “AI-enhanced for security.” I said sure, and wired the reset switch to his bloody coffee machine. He hasn’t asked me anything “AI” since.
