Windows 10 OOB update released to fix Message Queuing (MSMQ) issues

Windows 10 Gets Another “Oh Bloody Hell” Update – Because Microsoft Can’t Stop Breaking Stuff

So apparently Microsoft has once again managed to set their own damn operating system on fire, and now they’re scrambling to slap a half-ass bandage over it. The latest clusterfuck? Windows 10’s Message Queuing (MSMQ) service was choking harder than an intern in front of the CEO — freezing, crashing, and generally being a useless pile of digital crap. So what does Microsoft do? They puke out an out-of-band (OOB) update because clearly, fixing things properly during regular patch cycles is too mainstream for Redmond’s finest.

This “emergency” update is meant to stop systems with MSMQ enabled from turning into spinning wheel therapy sessions. Affected versions include Windows 10 21H2 and 22H2 — because of course they do. So if you had the audacity to actually use Windows for enterprise message delivery, congratulations, you’ve been Microsofted.

Installing the patch reportedly fixes the issue, assuming Windows Update doesn’t first decide to go on strike, set your CPU on fire, or install it backwards. And yes, this update doesn’t bring new features or improvements — just another frantic attempt at unbreaking the same broken shit we were promised was “stable” last month. Glorious.

So grab your coffee, your patience, and your IT battle gear, because it’s patching time again. Another day, another Microsoft “oopsie.”

Reminds me of the time some genius in accounting “tested” an update by rebooting the production server in the middle of payroll. Guess who got blamed for the outage? That’s right — yours truly, the guy who told them not to touch the damn thing. Good times.
