Cyberattack knocks offline France’s postal, banking services

When the French Postal Bank Decided to Take a Cyber Shit Nap

So, La Banque Postale — you know, France’s lovely postal banking arm — decided to have a digital meltdown after some mystery bastards launched a cyberattack that left their systems flatter than a week-old croissant. That’s right: their online banking, mobile apps, and all that fancy “modern technology” stopped working like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

Apparently, this thing hit so hard that even the French equivalent of “turn it off and on again” wasn’t cutting it. Their IT department probably went into full “sacré bleu, mon Dieu!” mode while customers screamed into their croissants because they couldn’t check their accounts or move their precious euros. And of course, the bank comes out with the usual PR nonsense about “working hard to restore services.” Translation: *we have no bloody clue what’s happening, but please stop calling us*.

And the cherry on this digital shit sundae? They still haven’t said who did it. Could be hackers, could be some intern tripping over a router cable, could be both — who the hell knows? Meanwhile, customers are left wondering if their money’s safe or if it just packed its bags and went on a digital holiday somewhere in cyber limbo.

So yeah — another day, another cyber clusterfuck in the world of “we’ve got cybersecurity covered.” Right. Covered in what, exactly? Because it smells like pure incompetence to me.

Last time something like this happened, I got blamed when someone “accidentally” deleted the company’s backup server. Spoiler alert: I didn’t accidentally do jack — I intentionally formatted the damn thing because someone thought using “password123” was secure. Guess what? It wasn’t.
