So yeah, the geniuses at Google have finally decided that sometime in the near future, users will be able to, wait for it — change the bloody Gmail address tied to their account. No more starting over, no more manually transferring a decade’s worth of spam, newsletters, and half‑forgotten logins. The feature’s apparently going to roll out under the “About time you bastards” initiative, although they’re calling it something more boring and official, obviously.

Apparently, it’s going to let you update your handle from your Google Account settings. You’ll keep all your precious emails, contacts, Drive files, and all that other digital junk you’ve hoarded since 2004.
