CISA Loses Its Shit Over Gogs Zero-Day Exploit

So apparently, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) had to once again remind every half-asleep federal IT drone to patch their bloody servers before the whole digital house burns down. Why? Because some smart-arse hackers decided to mess with a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability in Gogs – that open-source Git service everyone and their dog installed without checking a goddamn thing.

These malevolent geniuses found a way to hijack unpatched systems faster than management can schedule another “cybersecurity awareness” PowerPoint session. The flaw lets attackers run whatever the fuck they want on your box – basically turning it into a marionette dance on command. And yes, it’s already being exploited in the wild, because of course it is. Developers ignored the update prompts like they always bloody do, and now CISA’s adding Gogs to their Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog and giving the feds until early February to sort their crap out.

So, CISA’s screaming, sysadmins are scrambling, and some CISO somewhere is pretending to know what “RCE” means on a Zoom call. Meanwhile, attackers are probably sitting back, sipping cheap whiskey, watching government servers go up in digital flames.

The lesson, as always: patch your bloody systems before CISA has to chase you down with a compliance bat. Because when they say “mandatory,” they mean “do it now or enjoy another headline about how you got owned.”
