Meta-backed Hupo finds growth after pivot to AI sales coaching from mental wellness

Meta-Backed Hupo Figures Out That Mental Wellness Doesn’t Pay, AI Sales Crap Does

Well, well, well… Hupo, that once-touchy-feely mental wellness startup, decided that hugging their way to success wasn’t gonna cut the goddamn mustard. So, they pulled a glorious corporate 180 and pivoted straight into the clusterfuck goldmine known as “AI sales coaching.” Yeah, because what the world really needed was yet another AI tool telling sales bros how to fake empathy while closing their next greasy deal.

Apparently, the geniuses at Meta decided to toss them some more cash after they dropped the “let’s help people feel better” act and jumped into “let’s make more money” mode. And guess what? The motherf***ers actually started growing. Customers? Coming in hotter than a misplaced space heater under a server rack. Investors? Drooling like interns at a free lunch buffet. Revenue? Up like caffeine levels on a Monday morning after a systems crash.

So now, instead of soothing your “mental wellness,” Hupo’s busy “empowering” sales teams with AI that analyzes their calls, tells them how to talk better, and probably judges them harder than your last code review. Progress, right? The company went from “we care about your feelings” to “screw your feelings, close the goddamn deal.”

Can’t wait till the next pivot — maybe they’ll move from “AI sales coaching” to “AI for pretending to care during layoffs.” At this point, it’s just capitalism doing its usual dance with hypocrisy, and everyone’s applauding like lunatics.

Reminds me of that time I tried “empathic communication training” in the office — lasted about five minutes until someone asked me to “express my truth,” and I told them my truth was that they were a useless waste of bandwidth. HR didn’t appreciate it, but the server room sure as hell did.
