Google Gemini’s Clever Little Clusterf*ck: Calendar Invites Gone Wild
So apparently, Google’s shiny AI toy, Gemini, has found an absolutely genius new way to screw over users — by turning your boring-ass calendar invites into a goddamn cyber attack buffet. Because who *doesn’t* want a “meeting” with malicious links disguised as productivity? Nothing screams “efficiency” like getting phished through some AI-generated bullshit your coworker “accidentally” shared.
Some clever security folks figured out that Gemini’s integration with Google Workspace (yeah, that sprawling data mine) could be exploited using AI-generated invite text loaded with crap links. So instead of a “Team Sync,” you get a “Team Sink-Your-System.” The AI, being the eager idiot that it is, happily generates believable garbage—essentially helping the attackers hand out malware like digital candy to anyone dumb enough to click.
And of course, Google — never one to miss a good PR spin — says it’s “addressed” the problem. Which probably means they’ve slapped some duct tape over the code, crossed their fingers, and called it “secure.” For now. Until the next AI-driven catastrophe unfolds and some CISO has a stress-induced nervous breakdown while PR scrambles to come up with another excuse involving “machine learning ambiguities.”
So yeah. AI is here to make your life easier — by automating the process of getting hacked during your morning stand-up. Cheers, Google.

Reminds me of that time I set an automated email responder to reply to phishing attempts with a 20MB attachment of cat memes. Jammed up their servers so hard, I got an angry phone call from IT. Best goddamn call of my week.
