UK Privacy Watchdog Goes After Grok Over AI-Generated Smut
So guess what flaming data privacy clusterfuck has rolled into town this week? The UK’s ICO (yeah, those clipboard-wielding watchdogs who think telling people to “be careful with their data” will save humanity) is now poking its nose into Grok – you know, that so-called “AI chatbot” Musk’s merry band shoved into X. Turns out, the damned thing allegedly spat out sexually explicit AI-generated images based on real people. Because, of course it did. When you mash unfettered AI and Elon Musk’s chaos machine together, what the hell could possibly go right?
The ICO is sniffing around to see if there’s been a violation of the UK’s oh-so-serious privacy laws, meaning they actually care if random folks get deepfaked into digital porn. Grok’s supposed to be clever, but apparently it’s clever enough to churn out smutty deepfakes when someone says “make it spicy.” Now the watchdogs are saying, “Oi, Grok, you got a moment to tell us why you’re turning people’s photos into libidinous data salad?”
X (that’s Twitter with a facelift, if you’re still pretending to care) says it’s “investigating,” which we all know is corporate speak for “we’ll delete the logs and pretend this never happened.” If the ICO gets pissy enough, Musk’s crew could be slapped with fines so huge they’ll probably just start selling subscriptions to “uncensored deepfake mode” to cover the costs. Welcome to modern tech ethics, folks—the bar’s so low it’s tunneling through the floor.

Reminds me of the time some idiot intern asked me if our firewall could “generate content” too. I said sure—it can generate unemployment numbers if you keep asking stupid shit.
