Meta Can’t Stop Itself — Now It’s Spewing Out Another Bloody App for AI ‘Vibes’ Videos
Right, because what the hell else would Meta do with its billions besides come up with another half-baked, privacy-sucking, attention-leeching app no one actually asked for? The geniuses at ZuckCorp are “testing” a stand-alone app dedicated to AI-generated “Vibes” videos — basically automated, artsy slideshow nonsense that takes your boring life snippets and turns them into something supposedly “emotional.” Yeah, because nothing screams genuine emotion like a machine puking rainbows over your vacation photos.
So, the idea is: Meta wants to make you feel “creative” while your data gets mined faster than a coal seam in hell. It’s part of their never-ending crusade to shove generative AI into every metaphorical orifice of your online existence — from Reels to bloody Messenger, and now, apparently, a new app. It’s like Instagram and TikTok got drunk, had an ill-advised one-night stand with ChatGPT, and produced this bastard child of “AI vibes.”
They’re testing it quietly, because clearly even they know it’s going to break, leak, and possibly catch fire on release. The “Vibes” app supposedly lets users pick a mood, upload pictures, and voila — instant video montage for you to pretend you’ve got editing skills worth a damn. Meta hopes the kids will love it, the influencers will use it, and the rest of us will just roll our eyes while muttering “fuck off, Zuckerberg” into our coffee mugs.
In other words: same shit, different app. Meta’s trying to claw back some attention from TikTok by slapping together AI glitter and throwing it at a wall to see if it sticks. Spoiler: it won’t. But hey, another day, another desperate attempt to make AI look fun instead of dystopian.

Reminds me of the time I automated a “creative” video generator on the office intranet — it made 400 clips of the boss’s bad haircut before HR caught on. Worth every goddamn second.
