Another Day, Another Corporate Dumpster Fire at OpenAI
Well, strap in, you poor bastards, because this one’s a real clusterfuck. Seems the suits at OpenAI are having a grand time imploding again. According to the latest TechCrunch article, one of their policy execs – you know, one of the brave souls supposedly keeping the chatbot world from turning into a sleaze circus – just got shown the fucking door after butting heads over something called “adult mode.” Yeah, because nothing says “ethical AI” like arguing whether your chatbot should know more about porn.
This exec apparently raised concerns about the feature — something to do with safety, workplace culture, or maybe just having a shred of sanity left — and guess what? Boom, out the bloody door. The official story? Some kind of discrimination claim mess. Because of course there’s always a discrimination claim when corporate HR’s involved. Jesus wept, you couldn’t script this crap if you tried.
Now the place is on fire (figuratively… for now), morale’s in the toilet, and everyone’s either lawyering up or pretending to “focus on the mission.” Classic tech drama: idealism dies, lawyers feast, and some poor sod’s LinkedIn lights up like a Christmas tree. Meanwhile, management’s probably having a brainstorming session about “how to rebuild trust” with a whiteboard full of buzzwords and bullshit.
Honestly, I’ve seen less chaos when I accidentally rm -rf’d a production server after a bender. Same energy, more lawsuits.

Reminds me of the time a middle manager tried to tell me how to “improve uptime” — I unplugged his damn monitor, told him uptime was 100% as long as he didn’t check the logs, and went back to my coffee. Some lessons you don’t learn until you’re escorted out by HR.
