Anthropic bundles Claude Code into enterprise plans

Anthropic’s Latest Grift

Seriously? Claude Code is Now *Part* of the Enterprise Package.

Oh, joy. Another AI company deciding that what was once a separate thing is now just… shoved into a bigger, more expensive box. Anthropic, those geniuses over there, have decided to bundle their “Claude Code” – basically a code-slinging version of Claude – directly into their enterprise plans. Meaning if you want the fancy coding stuff, you gotta pay for the whole damn suite, even if all you need is a chatbot that can write vaguely coherent emails.

They’re calling it “enhanced” and “integrated”. I call it a blatant cash grab. They claim it’s what customers *want*, which is always what they say when they’re trying to upsell you something you didn’t ask for. It’ll be tiered, naturally – more money gets you faster code generation and bigger context windows. Shocking.

And of course, there’s a whole song and dance about security and compliance because apparently letting anyone near your codebase is *totally* fine as long as it’s through Anthropic’s walled garden. They’re also adding some “governance” features, which I assume means more ways to lock you into their ecosystem. It’s all very… predictable.

Basically, if you were hoping for a reasonably priced code assistant, keep looking. If you have deep pockets and enjoy vendor lock-in, then by all means, throw your money at them. Don’t come crying to me when it inevitably breaks or starts hallucinating SQL queries.

I once spent three days debugging a script because the AI “helpfully” suggested replacing a perfectly good loop with a recursive function that promptly crashed the server. Three *days*. And you know what? The AI didn’t even apologize. Just sat there, smugly generating more garbage code. This is the future they promised us.
