Seriously? Another End of Support Notice.
Right, listen up you lot. Microsoft is killing off support for Windows 11, version 23H2 (Home and Pro) on October 8th, 2024. Sixty days from now, basically. Sixty! Like they haven’t already forced enough “upgrades” down everyone’s throats. If you’re still running that ancient pile of code, you’re going to be without security updates. Which means you’re a prime target for every script kiddie and ransomware outfit with a pulse.
They’re pushing everyone to 24H2, naturally. Because planned obsolescence is *good* for business, apparently. And if you’re on some enterprise version, well, check the linked article because it gets even more complicated than this steaming mess. Don’t come crying to me when your system gets bricked or held hostage; I told you so.
Honestly, the whole thing is just… infuriating. They expect you to constantly chase the latest version, pay for features you don’t need, and generally bend over backwards for their ecosystem. It’s a racket, pure and simple. And they wonder why people still use Linux.
Get your act together and upgrade, or accept your fate as digital roadkill. I really couldn’t care less which you choose, frankly.

Speaking of end of support, I once had to deal with a system running Windows XP. *XP*. The user insisted it was “perfectly fine.” Perfectly fine for catching every virus known to humankind, maybe. Spent three days rebuilding the thing after a particularly nasty rootkit infection. Three days I’ll never get back. Don’t be that user.
