DOJ Resentences BreachForums Founder to 3 Years for Cybercrime and Possession of CSAM

Ugh, Another One

Seriously? This Again?

Right, so some dipshit named Konsta Almenius – founder of the delightful little cesspool known as BreachForums – got another sentencing. Apparently, the first one wasn’t long enough for running a marketplace where stolen data and, get this, child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was traded like baseball cards. Three years now, after initially getting a pathetic eight-year sentence that they managed to weasel out of. Eight years! For *that*? Pathetic.

The DOJ decided to revisit the case because, shocker, possessing CSAM is still illegal and bad. They found more evidence, so now he’s facing an additional three years in the slammer. Honestly, it should have been a lot longer from the start. The whole thing was a festering pit of awful, and this feels like damage control after letting him off too easy initially.

They also seized a bunch of his crypto – good riddance. Though knowing these guys, they’ll probably just find another way to launder it or something. It’s always the same goddamn story. Bunch of digital parasites ruining everything for everyone else.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that this whole thing took *this long* to resolve. Bureaucracy is a special kind of hell, I tell ya. A special kind of slow, infuriating hell.

Speaking of digital garbage, I once had to clean up a server farm that was running a similar operation – only it was all cat pictures…but *bad* cat pictures. Like, photoshopped into compromising positions bad. The smell alone almost drove me insane. And the logs? Don’t even ask. It took three days and a hazmat suit just to get the thing back online. Honestly, humanity is doomed.
