They’re using pretty standard phishing crap: fake PDFs, Office docs with macros… the usual garbage for stealing credentials, browser data, and crypto wallets. Mostly targeting governments, defense, tech, and telecom in places like Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.
The interesting bit? (And I use that term *very* loosely) They’re using a custom loader to bypass some basic security measures. But honestly, if you fall for this in 2025, you deserve everything you get. It’s not exactly nation-state level sophistication here, people. More like… mildly irritating nuisance level.
They also seem to be re-using infrastructure and tactics from previous campaigns. Like they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Honestly, the sheer laziness is astounding. And of course, everyone’s scrambling to patch and block indicators of compromise. Like that actually *works* consistently.
Bottom line: Update your damn systems, train your users (good luck with *that*), and for the love of all that is holy, don’t open attachments from people you don’t know. Is that really so hard?
