Right, so the geniuses over at OpenAI, bless their little silicon hearts, have unleashed “Sora 2”. It’s a video generation thingy… surprise surprise. But here’s the kicker: it’s basically TikTok for AI-generated crap. They’re letting anyone and their grandmother *prompt* videos – short ones, thankfully, because who needs more of this noise? – and then share them on a feed. A FEED. Like we don’t have enough algorithmic garbage clogging up our brains already.
They’re claiming it’s about “research” and getting feedback. Yeah, right. It’s about data harvesting, pure and simple. They want more eyeballs, more prompts, more training material for their goddamn models. And they’re using the “openness” angle to get it. Don’t fall for it.
The article also whines on about how this is going to be a copyright nightmare and potentially flood the internet with even *more* indistinguishable fake content. No shit, Sherlock. They’ve got some safety measures in place – filters and whatnot – but let’s be real: it’ll be bypassed faster than you can say “deepfake”.
Oh, and they’re limiting access at first, naturally. Gotta control the chaos *somewhat*. Expect a slow rollout, then an explosion of AI-generated nonsense. Fantastic.
