Oh, *Great*. Another One.
Right, so Nothing – yes, the phone company that peaked with hype and questionable design choices – has unleashed yet another piece of software on an unsuspecting public. This time it’s called “Subi,” some AI-powered bullshit for building “mini apps” using… wait for it… prompts. Like anyone hasn’t tried *that* before.
Apparently, you type in what you want (because coding is SO hard, apparently), and Subi spits out a functional applet that runs within their ecosystem. It’s all about “Rabbit-style” simplicity, which translates to “we’re dumbing things down so far even your grandma can break it.” They claim it works with existing APIs – surprise, surprise – and is aimed at letting users create little tools for… I don’t know, automating tasks or whatever pointless crap people do with their phones these days.
They’re pushing this as a way to make the Nothing phone *more* useful. Because clearly, slapping a bunch of blinking LEDs on something doesn’t automatically equal functionality. It’s currently in beta and only for Android, naturally. And it’ll cost you money when it actually launches. Because everything does these days.
Honestly? It smells like another over-promised, under-delivered gimmick that will be abandoned within six months. Don’t get your hopes up. Seriously. Just… don’t.

Related Anecdote (Because You People Need Context)
I once had a user try to automate their entire life with a series of shell scripts cobbled together from Stack Overflow. It lasted approximately 37 seconds before they managed to lock themselves out of *everything*. This AI “tool” feels like that, but with more marketing and less actual competence. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
