The clock is ticking: Savings of up to 20% on group passes end tonight for TechCrunch Disrupt 2025

Disrupt 2025 – Ugh.

Seriously? Another TechCrunch Sales Pitch.

Right, listen up, you lot. Apparently, some people *still* want to pay money to go to TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco this October. The article – and I use that term loosely – is just a screaming advertisement that if you buy enough tickets (group passes, naturally, because they clearly don’t think one person is pathetic enough) today, you can save up to 20%. Twenty percent! Groundbreaking. It’s ending today, so get your wallets out and fund their venture capital dreams.

They’re boasting about speakers (who I guarantee will be mostly pitching something), workshops (probably on how to raise more money) and networking opportunities (read: people trying to sell you things). It’s the same crap every year, just with slightly different fonts. They even have a “Startup Battlefield” which is basically a glorified demo day for companies that haven’t learned their lesson yet.

Honestly, if you need *me* to tell you whether or not to spend your money on this… well, you’ve got bigger problems than I can solve. But fine, here’s the link so you can throw it away: https://techcrunch.com/2025/10/03/the-clock-is-ticking-savings-of-up-to-20-on-group-passes-end-today-for-techcrunch-disrupt-2025/

Don’t come crying to me when your startup fails after spending all your seed funding on a conference. I warned you.

Related Anecdote:

I once had to debug a routing issue caused by someone misconfiguring BGP because they were “too busy” prepping for a tech conference. Too busy to do their actual job, apparently. The entire West Coast went down for three hours. Three. Hours. And you know what? They probably *presented* at Disrupt the next year about “innovative networking solutions.” The audacity.
