Final Windows 10 Patch Tuesday update rolls out as support ends

Oh, *Now* They Care? Windows 10’s Last Gasp

Right, listen up. Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom (and by that I mean blatant disregard for user sanity for years), have finally shoved out one last “Patch Tuesday” update for Windows 10. Yeah, you heard me. *Last*. As if a few bug fixes now suddenly makes up for all the crap they let fester while pushing everyone to Windows 11. It’s mostly security stuff – fixing vulnerabilities that probably should have been addressed ages ago. They’re trying to look good as support officially ends on October 14th, 2025.

Basically, if you haven’t upgraded yet? You’re on your own, pal. Expect zero feature updates and increasingly glaring security holes. They *strongly* recommend moving to Windows 11, which is just fantastic if you happen to have a machine that isn’t older than yesterday. And don’t even get me started on the hardware requirements – it’s like they *want* people to buy new PCs.

There’s also some minor stuff about printer issues and other annoyances, but honestly? Who cares at this point? It’s a band-aid on a corpse. Just back up your data and prepare for the inevitable digital apocalypse. Seriously. Don’t come crying to me when you get ransomware because you were too stubborn (or broke) to upgrade.

And yes, they included fixes for things that were already patched in Windows 11. Because *of course* they did. It’s Microsoft. Expect incompetence.

Speaking of end-of-life systems, I once had to support a network running Windows 98 for a dentist. A *dentist*. He refused to upgrade because “the new software wouldn’t handle his charting properly.” Spent three days fighting viruses and printer drivers on that prehistoric heap. Three days I’ll never get back. This Windows 10 thing? It’s just a slightly less painful version of that, only with more corporate bullshit.
