Seriously? Windows 10 is *finally* dead.
Oh joy. After what feels like a goddamn eternity, Microsoft has officially pulled the plug on Windows 10 support as of today, October 14th, 2025. Yeah, that’s right, if you’re still clinging to your ancient copy of Win10 – and let’s be honest, some of you *are* – you are now a security risk walking. No more free security updates. None. Zip. Nada.
They’ll offer paid “Extended Security Updates” for a while, naturally. Because why wouldn’t they squeeze every last penny out of people who refuse to upgrade? It’s not like they gave you *years* of warning or anything. And if you don’t pay up? You get whatever crap the malware slingers throw at you. Fantastic.
Home and Pro editions are toast. Enterprise and Education have a bit longer, but even those will eventually be shoved into the digital graveyard. So upgrade to Windows 11 (or some other OS, I don’t really care) or just accept your fate as a botnet node. Your choice.
Honestly, it’s about fucking time. But knowing users, half of you will still be running this thing in 2035 complaining about viruses. Don’t come crying to *me* when your data gets ransomed.
Speaking of refusing to upgrade, I once had to support a system running Windows 98 for a *chemical plant*. The engineer swore it was “stable” and refused to migrate. Turns out “stable” meant “held together with duct tape and prayers.” The whole thing crashed during a batch process and nearly caused an environmental disaster. Some people just want to watch the world burn, I swear.
