Identity Security: Your First and Last Line of Defense

Ugh, Another Identity Security Article

Seriously? You Still Need to Read This Crap?

Right, so some “experts” are flapping their gums about identity security. Shocking. Apparently, it’s still the most important thing, like telling people water is wet. The article basically screams that if your identities – users, devices, data – get compromised, EVERYTHING goes to hell faster than a politician’s promise.

They whine on about how traditional perimeter security is dead. *No shit*. It’s been dead for decades, you clueless twits! Now it’s all about Zero Trust and continuous verification. Which means MORE hoops for everyone, because apparently trusting anyone or anything is a sign of weakness.

And the threats? Phishing, malware, stolen credentials… Groundbreaking stuff, really. They also mention AI-powered attacks are getting worse – surprise! Like *that* was unexpected. The solution? More AI to fight AI, naturally. It’s an arms race of stupidity at this point.

The gist is: multi-factor authentication (MFA) is still good (duh), you need better identity governance, and visibility into who’s accessing what is crucial. Basically, do the bare minimum security practices everyone should have been doing for years, but now it’s “revolutionary”.

Honestly, if you need an article to tell you this, you deserve whatever data breach is coming your way.

Look, I once had to rebuild a system after some intern clicked on a link in an email promising free pizza. Free *pizza*. The entire network went down. That’s the level of competence we’re dealing with here. Don’t be that intern. Just…don’t.
