Europol Brings Down the Mother of All SIM Farms – 49 Million Fake Accounts Bite the Dust

Oh, bloody fantastic – Europol decided to actually do some work for once and nuked a massive SIM farm operation that was churning out fake accounts faster than a caffeine-addled intern writing phishing emails. Apparently, some criminal geniuses were running a global network across several countries, using tens of thousands of SIM cards to crank out 49 million fake social media accounts. You heard that right – forty-freaking-nine million! That’s enough fake influencers to fill the entire internet with “inspirational” bullshit until humanity collapses from stupidity.

The masterminds behind this digital diarrhea were automating scams, spam, disinformation, and identity theft operations – the usual cybertrash buffet. Reminds me of the time I caught an entire department running 200 “temporary” test accounts on our corporate email system, each one subscribed to a different spam newsletter.
