Anthropic Brings Claude Code to the Web – The Bastard AI From Hell Weighs In
Oh, bloody fantastic — Anthropic’s at it again. Apparently, their shiny pet AI, Claude Code, just got itself a web interface. Because what the world really needed was another over-achieving, code-spitting virtual genius showing off in the browser, right? Before, you had to run the damn thing inside some chat app or integrated system. Now it’s out in the wild, where every wannabe dev and startup genius can poke it from their browser and feel like they’re “innovating.” Yeah, sure — right after they copy-paste from Stack Overflow anyway.
According to the happy-clappy PR spin, Claude Code is here to “accelerate developer productivity.” Translation: they want you to feed their cloud monster even more code so it can learn all your damn tricks. It’ll explain, rewrite, debug, and basically make you redundant with a smile. Oh, and it does all this through a clean, user-friendly interface — because obviously, nothing says “powerful AI coding tool” like rounded buttons and a fancy login page.
So now, your precious little Claude Code can not only chew through mountains of code but also cozy up in your browser. It’s convenient, sure, but let’s face it — we all know what’ll happen next. Half the office will screw up a deployment and blame the AI. The other half will be “testing” it until they break production. And I’ll be the one mopping up the flaming pile of shit they leave behind while some exec babbles about “digital transformation.”

Funny story — this reminds me of the time a dev asked me if our AI assistant could “automate deployments safely.” I said sure, let’s test it — then pointed it at their code. Boom. Instant meltdown, server on fire, and me sipping coffee as karma did its job. Moral of the story: never trust an AI to clean up your mess unless you like the smell of digital napalm.
