Massive Surge of NFC Relay Malware – Because Apparently Stealing Credit Cards is the New European Hobby
Right, so those bright sparks in cybercrime land are at it again. Some absolute digital assholes have cooked up that slick new “NFC relay malware” bullshit, targeting European Android users and turning their phones into goddamn digital pickpockets. These bastards hijack the wireless communication your phone uses for contactless payments, sniff the card details straight from your pocket, and send them off faster than I can hurl an intern out of my server room.
According to the report, there’s been a massive spike in these slimy attacks, all neatly packed inside fake apps pretending to be trustworthy payment tools or system updates. Of course they are — because users can’t resist clicking shiny things labeled “security update.” Once it’s in, the malware quietly plays credit card relay tag, exploiting near-field communication (NFC) to transmit your financial data to some crook lounging in their mother’s basement. Bloody marvellous, isn’t it?
The malware’s creators are smart enough to avoid detection by staying dormant until your phone detects an NFC-enabled card nearby. Then — BAM — they hijack the transaction like a drunken IT manager on payday. And European banks are getting swamped with card theft reports because some people still think “installing an APK from a random Telegram group” is a bright idea. Jesus wept.
Bottom line: don’t sideload apps unless you fancy donating your life savings to some cyber-twat running phishing scams between bong hits. Keep your mobile OS updated, use actual app stores, and maybe—just maybe—stop waving your phone around like a goddamn credit card vending machine.

Reminds me of the time some genius user plugged a “free power bank” into their office PC – next thing I know, I’m cleaning up a crypto-miner infestation that made our CPUs beg for mercy. Some people shouldn’t be allowed near electrons.
