APT28’s New Round of Digital Dumpster Fire
Well, well, well… guess who’s back in the cyber-shitstorm again? None other than our favorite bunch of Kremlin-backed bastards — APT28 — also known as “Fancy Bear,” the elite-level asshats who just can’t stop breaking into inboxes like it’s 2016 all over again. According to the latest from The Hacker News, these digital lunatics are now targeting Ukrainian UKR.net users with a long-running credential-phishing campaign. Because god forbid they find a hobby that doesn’t involve screwing with other people’s email.
The operation basically involves fake-as-hell login pages, weaponized emails that look like your average spam, and a shitload of manipulation meant to trick poor sods into handing over their login info. Once these cyber-vultures get the keys to the kingdom, they swipe everything that isn’t nailed down — credentials, comms, your secret stash of memes, who bloody knows what else.
The report says these phishing campaigns have been going on for months, showing that either no one has learned their goddamn lesson, or these hackers are really, really persistent. Microsoft’s security team apparently spotted the same crap — proving that even the biggest tech giants are just running around plugging holes like a drunk sailor with a leaky boat. Meanwhile, the rest of us are left changing passwords and pretending we ever read the company’s phishing awareness emails.
In short: APT28’s up to their usual FSB-sponsored fuckery, robbing digital wallets, stealing secrets, and making the internet just that little bit worse for everyone. Bravo, you magnificent bastards, truly a career built on chaos and crappy code.

Reminds me of the time some dipshit user sent their root password in a helpdesk ticket because “the internet was slow.” These APT clowns just automate that same idiocy at scale. Fucking brilliant.
