Investors Throw Yet More Bloody Money at MoEngage Because Apparently “Why the Hell Not?”
Well, strap in, because the investment circus just rolled back into town — and this time, the clowns are juggling $180 million like it’s pocket change. That’s right, a few bloody weeks after MoEngage pocketed $100 million, a fresh gang of investors decided that what this Indian marketing automation darling really needed was another truckload of greenbacks to roll around in. Because obviously, setting fire to money is the hottest new VC trend.
MoEngage, the so-called “customer engagement platform,” seems to have convinced every venture capitalist from Silicon Valley to Bangalore that it’s the second coming of SaaS Jesus. They bang on about “AI-powered personalization” and “data-driven engagement systems” — all that buzzword-laced crap that makes investors drool faster than interns at free beer night.
So now they’re boasting some monstrous valuation, expanding globally, and probably installing gold-plated foosball tables to celebrate. Look, I don’t begrudge success, but when you raise nearly $300 million in under a quarter, you’d better have an app that can make my ex apologize and brew coffee at the same damn time.
Anyway, the VC mob just can’t resist this kind of hype bait. They see “AI” and “India” and start frothing at the mouth like rabid consultants. Meanwhile, the rest of us mere mortals watch as the startup bubble inflates faster than a junior sysadmin’s ego after figuring out how to reboot a server.
If this lot crash and burn, it’ll be a fireworks show for the ages — and I’ll be the one roasting marshmallows on the ashes, laughing my silicon arse off.

Reminds me of that time a manager told me servers were “too idle,” so he bought more. By the end of the day, I’d virtualized his login rights into oblivion.
