Attackers Abuse Python, Cloudflare to Deliver AsyncRAT

Attackers Being Their Usual Dumbass Selves — Now With Python and Cloudflare

Right, so apparently some little cyber gremlins decided they were bored of their basement and thought, “Hey, let’s use Python scripts and Cloudflare to deliver that old pest, AsyncRAT.” Because obviously, reinventing the bloody wheel with new packaging makes them feel important. These jackasses are using Python as a neat delivery pouch — like a digital STD carrier — to sneak this sh*tty RAT onto victim systems while using Cloudflare to look all respectable. Except, you know, they’re not.

They’re basically spinning up fancy-sounding scripts that reach out to Cloudflare fronted servers, pulling in malicious payloads disguised as something benign. Once the victim takes the bait — poof — AsyncRAT slides in like a drunk raccoon into a dumpster. Suddenly, the attackers have remote control, and the user’s machine becomes their little plaything. Keylogging? Check. Webcam spying? Sure, why the hell not. Exfiltrating data? You bet your miserable cybersecurity budget they are.

What’s worse, these clowns are wrapping it all up so it looks “legit.” Using Cloudflare gives them a nice shiny “secure” façade, so your average corporate network doesn’t bat an eye. This is the cyber equivalent of hiding a turd behind a velvet curtain — still a turd, mate. Security researchers are yelling, “Stop running random Python executables from the internet,” but apparently that kind of advice bounces off managers like logic off a politician.

In short: Threat actors keep evolving, using Python like it’s their new toy, and Cloudflare like their getaway car. AsyncRAT — that digital cockroach — just won’t die. And guess who’s left cleaning up the f*cking mess? Yep. You. Lucky bastard.

Reminds me of the time a junior dev ran “some random script off GitHub” on the production server, and suddenly we were broadcasting goat memes to all our clients. Same energy. Different idiots.
