Cisco’s Zero-Day Dumpster Fire: Another Day, Another Breach

Oh bloody fantastic. Cisco – yes, *that* networking giant that sells gear priced like it’s spun from unicorn hair – just plugged yet another gaping security hole so big you could drive a data center through it. This time it’s a shiny new zero-day in their Secure Email Gateway appliances (because apparently the word *Secure* is now just marketing wank). The vuln, tracked as CVE-2026-20860, gave attackers from a China-linked APT group the ability to do remote code execution — meaning they could basically waltz in and own your system faster than you can say “update firmware.”

So some well-funded cyber ninjas have been exploiting this zero-day before Cisco even had time to find its own pants. The attack vector? Web interface, naturally — because what’s more fun than poking holes in the thing admins are told to leave open for “management convenience”? The culprits? Probable Chinese government-backed miscreants – because apparently they’ve got nothing better to do than make Cisco engineers cry into their patch notes.
